The ultrasonic power supply of Omni Ruptor 4000 Ultrasonic Homogenizer transforms line voltage to high frequency 20 kHz of electrical energy. This electrical energy is transmitted to the probe where it is changed to mechanical energy. The vibrations from the probe are coupled to and intensified by the titanium tip. The Omni Sonic Ruptor 4000 includes an integrated Sound Abating Chamber to reduce the cavitational sound emitted during processing.
Applications
The instrument offers a variety of applications including disruption of cells, bacteria, spores, emulsification of immiscible liquids, homogenization, uniform dispersion of particles in liquids, acceleration of reactions, depolymerization of large molecules and degassing of liquids. Sample volumes can range from 0.25mL to 1000mL
