Dr. Ashwini K. Agrawal is Professor at the Department of Textile Technology, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi. He is also an alumnus of this institute and graduated with silver medal from IIT Delhi in 1986 after completing his B. Tech. degree in Textile Technology. He obtained M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rochester, Rochester, New York, USA in 1992. He returned to his almamater in 1995 as a faculty after working in the US. His main areas of teaching and research interest are smart and intelligent textile materials, nano-materials, plasma processing, and fiber manufacturing.
